Position Summary:
The Grants and Foundation Relations Manager is responsible for supporting and contributing to fundraising via grant writing and management, donor and funder stewardship, and additional relevant activities. The Grants and Foundation Relations Manager will be part of the Talk Black Radio Development team, who together raise funds to ensure that the organization has the financial resources to accomplish its mission. The position will be the point person for foundations and will identify new prospects, forge relationships and steward funding partners.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee stewardship activities of existing grant funders to ensure renewals and assist the Director of Development in identifying and cultivating relationships with new potential funders.
2. Write, edit, and synchronize timely submission of grant proposals with coordination between development and program leaders
3. Prepare and update necessary supporting documents for grant applications to include documents such as budget forms, budget justifications, and other required forms
4. Manage grant reporting processes, timelines, and information-gathering efforts to comply with internal procedures and funder expectations
5. Maintain and update policies and procedures for staff on grants administration and compliance
6. Forecast upcoming proposal and reporting requirements, opportunities, and deadlines
7. Write and distribute  Newsletters
8. Create invitation lists and coordinate the logistics of fundraising events
9. Manage fundraising and similar campaigns
10. Manage cultivation and stewardship activities of donor advised fund holders
11. Assist with Prospect Research of foundation funders, donor advisors and individuals
12. Support the Director of Development in all aspects of fundraising and other duties as assigned
13. Provide general writing, editing, and other communications support as necessary

Qualifications and Skills:
1. 4+ years in nonprofit grant writing, managing and leveraging foundation relationships and prospect research
2. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of nonprofit grant writing, outcomes and financial reporting requirements
3. Outstanding grammar and research skills required
4. Meticulous eye for detail
5. Ability to monitor and meet revenue goals
6. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
7. Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
8. Demonstrated proficiency in Office 365, Basic Computer Skills, WordPress
